All classes are located at the Hugh Chatham Aquatic & Wellness Center, 700 Chatham Medical Park, Elkin. Call 336-527-7468 for more information.

Classes are $4 each, or you can get a class pass card for $33 which gives you 11 classes without an expiration. Boot Camp and Aqua Boot Camp are $5 per class.

All classes run for 60 minutes.

Cross Train

Women's Choice AwardA mix of weights and cardio exercises to help improve muscular strength and endurance and to help tone all areas of the body. A variety of functional exercises, targeting the large muscle groups, will be performed to make the body reach its potential.

Funtional Fitness

Women's Choice AwardFunctional fitness exercises train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability.

Tone It Up

This circuit training class is for those wanting to focus and concentrate more on weights and proper lifting techniques, in order to help tone those trouble areas.  This class will incorporate various free weights and machines to give your total body a great workout, all while gaining a better understanding on proper form and lifting methods.

Spintastic

Women's Choice AwardSpin classes are here(!), and we're requiring class participants to sign up prior to each class as we only have a limited number of bikes (9). To sign up, you must let us know by the Friday at noon before the next week's classes. You can email or call to register. Our first class is being held on Friday, February 15th at 6:30am, so registration for this class will open up at 12 noon on Friday February, 8th .

Aqua Boot Camp

This is a HIGH INTENSITY water fitness program that provides the benefits of a pool with little to no impact on joints, and it expands lung capacity. Also enjoy the benefits of weight and resistance training of a traditional gym.

Come enjoy this awesome dance party while taking all the pressure off your joints in our indoor 88° pool. The water will help give you a low-impact workout while still being high-energy with added resistance from the water.

Aquatic Classes

Cost: $100 for Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes; $66 for Tuesday, Thursday classes; $33 for one session per week (HCMH employees and volunteers receive a 40% discount)

Duration: 60 minutes per session, eight-week series meeting either Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday

All levels of classes are offered, from high energy cardio classes to regular aquatic exercise and therapeutic or rehabilitative classes
