The Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce will once again sponsor the Yadkin Valley Wine Auction benefiting Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation. The auction will feature a draw down trip-for-two. Set for the eve of the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival, the auction will be held on Friday, May 18th at Ole Beau Country Club in Roaring Gap. The wine auction is a project that will advance healthcare in our community through an event that promises to be an evening to remember!
The wine auction will benefit the Hospital's Capital Campaign which has added sixty-one new private patient rooms, an enlarged and improved emergency department, new operating facilities for Cesarean birth, improved facilities for cardiology, updated equipment for oncology, improved management information systems, and expanded digital imaging. The construction project has vastly improved the hospital's intensive care unit and provided greater availability and a convenient parking deck.
Wines from Yadkin Valley Wineries will be donated to the auction. Among other auction items donated will be rare wines, trips, jewelry, original art, furniture, clothing, fine dining, decorator items, and many other extraordinary gifts. The menu for the evening will be heavy hors d'oeuvres featuring beef tenderloin, shrimp, delicious fruits and vegetables, various cheese selections and is always highlighted by a fabulous dessert. One of our community's finest black tie optional annual affairs, you will not want to miss the opportunity to join in the excitement and contribute to the advancement of your community's healthcare. Family and friends are usually the first to be remembered in a will. After all the distrubitons have been made to loved ones, a provision can be made that the remainder of the estate be given to the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation. If you prefer, your will can stipulate that either a percentage of the estate or a fixed dollar amount be given to the Foundation.
A charitable tax donation to Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation may solve certain tax concerns encountered by those who have large estates.
