The Radiation Oncology Department of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital provides competent, compassionate, innovative clinical care in conjunction with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are available at HCMH. Cancer treatment requires up to six or seven weeks. Here, patients can avoid the added burden of travel. The Center can handle 95 percent of the cases referred with technology treatments identical to those at large urban medical centers.

Faculty at the Hugh Chatham’s Department of Radiation Oncology, Regional Cancer Center includes radiation oncologists, radiation physicists, and radiation biologists.

Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital is aligned with the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and is staffed by Wake Forest University Radiation Oncology specialists. This center is designated by the National Cancer Institute as one of only 38 in the Nation and part of the WFU Baptist Medical Center (BMC). This enables HCMH to provide patients cutting edge care close to home.
