Q.  How do I become a Hugh Chatham Volunteer?
A.  Call Volunteer Services Office at (336) 527-7208 and discuss which volunteer opportunity you would have an interest in.

Q.  Do I have to volunteer, if I join the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Auxiliary?
A.   No you do not have to volunteer. Incidentally, the money raised from the membership drive purchases stuffed animals for all our pediatric patients, yarn for the baby caps, chemo caps and prayer shawl, books for the newborns at our hospital. The money raised supports the many beneficial programs that Auxilliary/Volunteer Services supports.
Q.  What are the benefits from volunteering?
A.   Volunteers who volunteer 40 hours in a year receive a free blood annual panel, mammogram or a PSA test. Volunteers also receive a free meal in our cafeteria after four hours of volunteer service. Volunteers receive use of exercise equipment at the Regional Rehabilitation Center.

The purpose of the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is to promote and enhance the goals and services of the hospital and its affiliates as a caring community healthcare leader. The Auxiliary provides educational, financial, and volunteer services for the organization, in accordance with the objectives established by the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees.
