In the words of American poet and philosopher Henry David Thoreau, “As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” As we wake up each morning, it’s important to know who we are, what we believe in, and the true motivation for how we live our lives. This week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight focuses on someone who is inspired by her faith in God, kindly welcoming patients and visitors into our hospital as a caring host and inspired community servant. This week we celebrate Public Safety Screener, Angela Branch – a shining example of our core value of Service.
Imaging receptionist and scheduler, Kathy Wood, said “Angela is a very pleasant person to work with and greets everyone with a smile. She makes sure they are screened in when they get here, and if unaccounted for, she will find them to make sure they don’t miss their appointment.” Fellow Public Safety Screener, Becky Wing, stated, “I just love Angela! She is a sweetheart, always has a smile and is very friendly. She is hard-working and faithful.”
Thank you, Angela, for being a humble, warm soul, whose unwavering beliefs generate memorable encounters for our patients, visitors and fellow team members.
